Lifelong Dundee United fan and season ticket holder Brian Stewart joins Dundee United Community Trust as it’s new Senior Community Coach, thanks to The Rank Foundation’s Rank Aspire Programme (RAP).

Brian is no stranger to DUCT having enjoyed a 6-month placement with the charity as part of the Kickstart Scheme and more recently, he has been employed as a Community Coach.

Speaking on the first day in his new role, Brian commented, “I’m absolutely thrilled to get started. This role will provide me with the opportunity to develop myself both as a coach and as a person. I’m looking forward to bringing my skills and experience to the Trust and bringing lots of energy to our sessions in the community.”

The Rank Aspire Programme aims to empower young people to develop leadership skills for social good, and Brian becomes the third young person Dundee United Community Trust will have supported through the programme, having previously employed Euan Fellows and current Dundee United FC Women’s player Stacey McFadyen via the Rank Aspire Programme.

Paul Wilson, General Manager of the Trust added, “We are delighted to have Brian join us as our new Senior Community Coach and our thanks goes to The Rank Foundation for their continued support that has allowed us to provide full-time employment opportunities for Brian and Euan and Stacey before him.”
